I hope everyone is loving the fall weather. I love opening the windows and letting in the cool air. I'm hearing about lots of activities--corn mazes, football games, fall parties, trick-or-treat plans. Hopefully, many of you are enjoying these activities.
The students have been working on their narrative writing and they are doing great. I have enjoyed reading their stories. Many of them have chosen to write their stories as if they are in the story. Remember when you read them, some of the students chose to write stories based on actual events and others chose to write an autobiography. We are going to finish those this week and review for our summative assessment. REMINDER: Parent/teacher conferences this week. Here are this week's assignments: Monday: Finish editing and revising narratives. Tuesday: pronoun review sheet; summary writing Wednesday: Peter Pan (students may wear pajamas that day) Thursday: Finish Peter Pan; compare different media Reminder: NO AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS THIS WEEK DUE TO CONFERENCES. Next week: Red Ribbon Week--students dress for each day.
