This week, we are trying something a little different in class. I am giving the students choices for class. They have things they "must do" and things they "can do'. Students can choose what to work on, but the must do'd are required assignments and will be considered late if not completed.

We started our third book talk last week. This is a partner book talk and time will be given in class for students to work together. There will be some required reading at home and the building/creating of each student's prop.

I hope all parents enjoyed the surprise Christmas gifts made by your child. They really worked hard on their books. We are starting a new unit this semester. Unit 3 focuses on teaching through the reading or myths, legends, fables, and folklore. It's an exciting unit and the students really love learning about different myths and such.
