Students started our fundraiser on Friday. They are selling Tiger Savings cards for 10.00. Proceeds benefit the students for field trips, playground equipment and to meet other student needs.
Reminder that Monday (today) is Lime Team night. We hope to see all parents and students there. 6-7 pm in the WIS library. We are getting into the swing of things, so students will begin their research for ancient civilizations and we will begin our reading workshops in class. Please encourage your students to read as much as possible. This week we start learning about maps in Social Studies and in ELA. we are reading the story of Peter Pan and working on pronoun identification. Here are this week's assignments.
Monday: All About Me presentations Tuesday: Peter Pan Act 1 Wednesday: Map Skills-using a compass and cardinal directions; parts of a map Thursday: Peter Pan Act 1-reading centers Friday: Mapping the classroom The first two days of school went very well. The students seemed to enjoy being back at school and seeing their friends. They ALL seem very excited about the Ancient Civilization they drew to become experts on this year. Yay!!!
