IWe are into our second week of unit 2. The students learned a lot about context clues. It was exciting to see them figure out the meanings of the unknown words, just by using clues in the text. They were introduced to some pretty rigorous words this week. We are working on affixes and the meanings of those this week. Then, we will put it all together in a writing activity. It should be fun.

A special thank you to Mrs. Willoughby, Mrs. Bingham, and Mrs. Barnes for organizing and helping out. Information for our Christmas party will be coming home soon.
The students have updated their web pages, so if you get the opportunity to look at these, please do so. We will be adding some cool features in the next few weeks. The kids seemed to enjoy the Peter Pan movie last week. I heard lots of laughs and giggles, moans and groans, and a few cheers here and there. We are now finishing our assessment on that unit and starting a new unit on myths and legends. I am sure the kids will like that unit. Here are this week's assignments.
