Happy Veterans Day, everyone. We had a wonderful Veterans Day assembly on Friday. There were so many veterans and family members. It was very touching to see them with the students and the speaker was wonderful. She really helped the kids understand the importance of the day.
We are beginning Unit 2 about mythology and folklore. It will be fun for the students and it really seems to be something they are interested in. Wow! Can you believe that it is November already?! I am not ready for the holiday season. Speaking of holidays....thank you to all the parents for sending in snacks, drinks, and treats for the kiddos. We had a really fun Fall Party. We ate and watched Duck Dynasty. A special thank you to Mrs. Willoughby, Mrs. Bingham, and Mrs. Barnes for organizing and helping out. Information for our Christmas party will be coming home soon.
The students have updated their web pages, so if you get the opportunity to look at these, please do so. We will be adding some cool features in the next few weeks.
The kids seemed to enjoy the Peter Pan movie last week. I heard lots of laughs and giggles, moans and groans, and a few cheers here and there. We are now finishing our assessment on that unit and starting a new unit on myths and legends. I am sure the kids will like that unit.
