I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving break. It was nice to have a few days to spend with my kids, especially since Alex is graduating this year.
We are wrapping up our second Social Studies Unit this week. We are also working on identifying the tone and mood of a reading passage. Lots to learn!!! Here are this week's assignments: Monday: Kahoots to review the study guide for test on Friday, December 1. Tuesday: Finish study guide; Mary Poppins- Scary Mary tone and mood Wednesday: Tom Sawyer and Ghost Cat finding mood and tone Thursday: Finish Mood and tone; Social Studies review workshop Friday: Unit 2 Assessment; Government and Religion Looking ahead: We will start our next Social Studies Unit (Unit 3: Written Language) on Monday.

We will wrap up our Social Studies presentations this week and when we return from Thanksgiving break, we will begin researching the written language of each civilization.
